beyond auto course – sorry not available at this time
A practical photography course for all experience levels, including complete beginners. Whatever sort of digital camera that you have I can help you improve!
There are so many settings that you can vary on a digital camera, so I show you the few important ones. Typically, on all courses, I will include:
● How to expose correctly using Aperture Priority
● How to control depth of field (ie what is in focus)
● How to shoot moving objects eg for streaky water effects or car light trails
● When to use Auto or Programme modes and even Manual settings (they are all in there for a reason!)
I will show you how to perfect both your exposure and composition in the camera which minimises lengthy post-shoot editing. It doesn’t matter what digital camera you own, it can be a compact camera or a dSLR. I can help you understand the settings and how to make the most of your camera and to achieve images looking how you want them to.
Courses from Jan Butcher’s Peak District studio and nearby locations let you get to grips with the settings of your digital camera and how to take control so that you make the image that you want in the camera.
I exclusively run private, practical digital photography courses for either half or full day with one to one tuition by me. Alternatively, if you would like to include some friends or family members you can arrange your own small group of up to three people. This ratio of tutor to attendee means that I can give sufficient attention to each of you and still provide one to one tuition.
I charge a fixed price irrespective of the number of people:
Full day £300 (typically 10am – 4pm)
Half day £175 (10am – 1pm or to suit you)
Please phone me on 07900 802605 to discuss or arrange a date to suit you or contact me by email.
I find that so many people have spent money on a camera and holidays, but are disappointed with their photographs as they didn’t spend anything on a course to learn how to use their camera. Come on a course with me and change that!
